Wanted to make some meager money off of my blog and directly thought of Google ads. Then I did a little research and came upon Text Link Ads. Found out they provide text links similar to Google but are more targeted at syndication. i.e. targeting those folks that read your blog from a blog reader, not off of the web. They offer a nice little plugin for WordPress that makes the magic happen. Doesn't do me much good though since I use SubText for my blog engine. I read that SubText will be releasing a plugin framework in v2.0. So I got a wild hair, downloaded the source from SVN and created a new plugin that integrates with your Text Link Ads account. If you are a developer on the SubText project and you are reading this you are probably saying "Hey, the plugin framework doesn't have anything to do with syndication." This is very true which made the patch work much more interesting. I added support for plugins to affect syndication as part of my creation of the "Feedvertising" plugin. So if Phil and company from the SubText project approve of my meddling in their project, you may see the Feedvertising plugin in the next version of the product.
